Welcome to the Schry-Way Cases web site. We hope that these pages will provide you with the information you need to make decisions regarding your packaging needs. Schry-Way is wholesale only and specializes in short to medium runs. These pages provide basic information regarding our line of quality hardwood cases. This site features our four basic lines. From our light weight (L1 series) to our full outside shipping containers (AB series), we provide strong, durable, and great looking cases at an affordable price that can service your needs for many years.

Since 1953 Schry-Way has been serving a wide variety of industries including Medical, Aerospace, Defense, Electronics, and Optics. In the beginning,
Schry-Way started as a high end cabinet shop. Soon, requests for cases from local companies such as Lockheed and Endevco dominated the production. Cabinets became less a part of the sales and the company decided to focus solely on the manufacturing of high quality hardwood cases. In 1969
Schry-Way incorporated under the laws of the state of California.

While maintaining the finished look of cabinets, Schry-Way developed the L1 and MD line of cases which provided ample protection for the quality tools and instruments enclosed. These two series became the flagship of the company line of cases. These series display "old world" style along with up-to-date protection.

When Polyurethane foams came on the market, Schry-Way pioneered hot wire cutting to produce inserts for these cases to further provide protection. Foam provided superior cushioning and affordability to the widely used wood and felt inserts. Close tolerance foam inserts for our cases, as well as others, is still an integral part of the company's product line.

As the years went by, requests for heavy duty storage and outside shipping containers prompted the development of the MB and AB series. These two series also allow maximum flexibility of sizes that can be produced. This meant that the customer no longer had to fit into someone else's standard sizes.

We encourage you to call and let us assist you in deciding on the proper style case and in designing the most efficient interior work to protect your parts. Our many years of experience in design can prove very helpful in engineering your project. In most cases, our design and layout is at no extra cost.
